I live in a village near Salisbury and spend my leisure time in trekking, cycling,
swimming, badminton, travelling and reading.
I support a number of charities including Stars Appeal, Horatio’s Gardens, Barnado’s, Age UK and World Wildlife Fund. In 2009, I trekked in the Sahara Desert for 10 days and raised £2500 for “Stars Appeal”- the local hospital charity. Currently I am an Ambassador for MRI Campaign of Stars Appeal which is an initiative to raise funds for a second MRI scanner to be installed in Salisbury District Hospital. In September 2018, I climbed up to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro- the world’s highest free- standing mountain (5895 metres above sea level) in order to raise funds for the MRI Campaign. I am also a founder member of two local charities-South England Marathi Pariwaar and Indian
Community of Salisbury and have served as Treasurer and Chairman of these organisations
respectively.
